HISTORY

The test tube, possibly invented by Jons Jacob Berzelius or Michael Faraday, likely originated in the early 19th century. Berzelius mentioned a similar tube in 1814, and Faraday suggested small glass tubes for test reactions in 1827. This tool wasn't seen in 18th-century chemistry sets.
